Gene served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Laurel Health System for twelve years. Prior to that position, he was Director of Human Resources for Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL, and West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh, PA. As VP of Human Resources, Gene was employed by Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA, for nineteen years as well as completed work in personnel and human resources for hospitals in PA and WV. Gene has a Bachelor’s in Political Science (University of Pittsburgh) and has a Master’s of Public Management, Labor Relations from Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburgh, PA.
