Brooks was the Executive Director of the Bradford County
Regional Arts Council (serving Bradford, Tioga, Sullivan, and
Susquehanna Counties) for 25 years; he led this organization from a $500
all-volunteer program to an over $1 million staff-led program. Brooks
founded the Learning Early Network which has received many honors for
its early arts program. Brooks also led his own renewable energy
business, was a preschool teacher, and a high school chemistry-physics
teacher.
